Colne-based Multicare Stairlifts has praised the design of a stairlift for its versatility.

The Minivator 2000 is unique in that it is tailored to fit any individual staircase.

Designed for a stable and smooth ride the stairlift, supplied in light pebble grey or gun metal, includes a twin rail system.

The system is designed in such as way that it can easily take the passenger from ground floor directly onto the landing level.

Martin Baldwin, of Multicare Stairlifts, said: "Minivator’s signature operating toggle minimises these problems by making our stairlifts easy to use.

"The toggle can be fitted on whichever side of the stairlift is easiest for you to operate.

The stairlift can be combined with the powered automatic hinge solution – preventing the track from obscuring any doorway at the base of stairs.

Special orders are available so the track can be finished in any colour to suit specific décor.

Curved stairlift rails are custom made for each individual staircase - includes reconditioned or refurbished staircases.

In addition, the design includes manual, easy-to-use stairlift controls and a folding footplate.

Curved stairlifts are particularly useful for people with older houses where, generally, the stairs do not go straight up.

This kind of stairlift tends to take a bit more fitting and is often bespoke. For this reason they are slightly more expensive than a straight stairlift like the Minivator 1000.

All Minivator stairlifts have safety sensors on the power pack and footplate; these are designed to stop the lift if it meets any obstruction.

Once stopped it can only be moved in the opposite direction to the obstruction.

The stairlifts also have a diagnostic display so that people can monitor the status of the stairlift, e.g. a safety edge has been activated.

Multicare Stairlifts works to help disabled and elderly people who need living aides. It is an NHS provider of community equipment.

The company helps its customers choose from a selection of mobility equipment, working with Social Services, Occupational Therapists, and other prescribers.

NHS prescriptions can be brought to the Multicare Stairlifts' showroom. There are various additional delivery services available, including assembling the equipment for the prescribers.

Both new and used stairlifts are available from Multicare including easy payment options and rental schemes.

Stairlifts also include lifetime guarantees, an annual inspection reports and free repairs.
